En route pour l´Islande

I´m going to Reykjavík after a few hours. I´ll be there a week and have a thousand things to do. One of them will be teaching Icelandic intarsia at the Icelandic Textile Guild, next Saturday.

Je pars pour Reykjavík dans quelques heures, pour une semaine bien chargée. Entre autres, samedi prochain, un cours de jacquars islandais á l´Association textile islandaise.

Rósaleppaprjón er gömul íslensk aðferð í myndprjóni sem gekk í endurnýjun lífdaga þegar bók Hélène Magnússon „Rósaleppaprjón í nýju ljósi“, kom út árið 2006.

Laugardaginn 30. janúar frá kl. 13-17.

Þátttakendur á námskeiðinu læra tæknina, prjóna litla rósaleppa , fræðast um söguna, fá að handleika flíkurnar í bókinni og fá góð ráð til að prjóna þær. Auk þess verður slynging kynnt. Garn í prufur er innifalið en komið með prjóna nr. 4.

Exposition et atelier

Bon ben voilà tout est dit. Rieux-Minervois se trouve entre Narbonne et Carcassonne, à 1 heure et quelque de Toulouse, et son église romane heptagonale vaut le détour à elle seule. Venez nombreux ! I will be showing my work in Rieux -Minervois from 6-30th November. It´s a little French village in the South of France, between Narbonne and Carcassone, only one hour drive from Toulouse. The circular roman church, a quite rare construction, is worth visiting. The opening of the exhibition is 6th November at 18:00.
