Une week-end en  Islande: mon lopi de travail

An Old lopi sweater given to me a long time ago. The pattern is in an old  Istex magazine: free here but in Icelandic. The man who is always looking at you, we don't know who he is: we found him in the walls between two layers of wall paper... He's watching us...

Un vieux pull lopi qu'on m'a donné il y a longtemps. Le modèle est dans un très vieux magazine Istex: gratuit ici mais en islandais. L'homme au regard perçant, on ne sait pas qui c'est: on l'a trouvé en bas dans les murs  entre deux couches de papier peint... Il nous surveille...

It's muddy!

C'est la gadoue!

Not sure how it is overseas but in Europe it's raining a lot whereas in Iceland it's too dry! Let me introduced to you "It's muddy" the brownish version of my Icelandic Spring shawl after the blue one ("It's raining"). The pictures were taken during the Hiking and knitting with the Elves tour a couple of weeks ago.

Je ne sais pas trop comment c'est de l'autre côte  de l'Atlantique mais en Europe, il pleut plutôt beaucoup tandis qu'en Islande il fait trop sec! Laissez-moi vous présenter "C'est la gadoue", la version marron de mon Châle islandais de printemps après la version bleue "Il pleut!".  Les photos ont été prises pendant le Tricot treck au pays des Elfes il y a à peine deux semaines. 

We even blocked the shawl in the mountain hut to illustrate the traditional Icelandic lace workshop. 

Nous avons même bloqué le châle dans le refuge de montagne pour illustrer l'atelier sur le tricot traditionnel islandais. 

On the way home

Really happy and (over) excited to be moving back home in Iceland after just a few days! We improvised a farewell dinner on the wrapping paper in the middle of the boxes.

Très contente et (sur) excitée de rentrer en Islande dans juste quelques jours! Un dernier dîner en amoureux sur le papier d'emballage au milieu des cartons.
