Nordic Knitting Conference

It sounds a little far away, but, in 2010, I was invited to take part in the Nordic Knitting Conference at the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle. The museum is the only one in the US which includes all Nordic countries. The 2009 Conference will feature Katarina Brieditis, Marianne Isager, Nancy Bush, Evelyn Clark, and others. Evelyn Clark will be teaching a class on Icelandic lace inspired by pieces from the museum's collection. Her Bertha lace shawl is such a lace and named for Evelyn´s Icelandic aunt.
