Some pictures of our awesome knitting tour in the magical Icelandic night. Once again, I can't complain that a great blogger was among us and made a great article on the tour with a LOT of pictures!

As soon as I arrived in Iceland, I went straight to the hot pot at the swimming pool and then I was just like new to go to to Ístex, the wool manufacturer of the famous lopi, that was holding a party for its 20th anniversary!

As a gift to all the knitters, they offer a new pattern from Védís Jónsdóttir, Afmaeli (it means birthday in Icelandic). Do you like it? The English version will be available on the website and I have the exclusivity of the French version. I will post it as soon as the knitting tour in the magical Icelandic night is over!

Sitôt arrivée en Islande après un long voyage, directement à la piscine dans le pot d'eau chaude pour se remettre en forme et hop direction Ístex, le producteur de la fameuse lopi, qui fêtait son 20e anniversaire!

Vous vous souvenez des magnifiques crayonné de Charline qui servaient de toile de fond aux modèles de notre numéro de printemps 03? Et bien, les 18, 19 et 20 novembre se tient la 12e édition du "Rendez-vous du Carnet de voyage de Clermont-Ferrand" qui accueille plus de 15.000 visiteurs.  Charline Picard y sera parmi les invités jeunesse avec Retour d'Islande, le livre d'enfants que nous avons écrit ensemble!

You remember the wonderful sketches from Charline that illustrated our Spring Issue 03? On Novembre 18th, 19th and 20th novembre will be the 12th edition of "Rendez-vous du Carnet de voyage de Clermont-Ferrand", an event in france dedicated to travels and travel diaries with more than 15.000 visitors last year. Charline Picard will be there with Retour d'Islande, the children book about Iceland we wrote together!

Facile de tricoter au Nord de l'Islande!

Ce qu'il y a de bien avec les voyages de tricot, c'est lorsque des super blogueuses y participent et vous font des super photos et des super postes sur leur blog.  C'était le cas lors du voyage Tricoter au Nord de l'Islande lorsque Cécile, LA Facile Cécile, nous a fait toute une série de postes plus alléchants les uns que les autres sur le voyage de tricot. Si cela vous fait très très envie,  c'est le moment de s'inscrire au voyage de l'année prochaine!

One nice thing about the knitting tours is when a super blogger is coming along, takes super pictures and writes super blog posts about it! This is what happened during the tour Knitting in the North of Iceland when Cécile, a popular French blogger known as Facile Cécile (easy Cecil),  wrote a serie of very inspiring blog posts about the tour. If it makes you want to come to Iceland, now is time to register in the tour next year!

Cécile, le croirez-vous ou non, cela ne fait qu'un an qu'elle tricote, mais elle est très douée. Et j'adore comment elle soigne les finitions et ajoute sa petite touche personnelle à tout. Cécile, pour ceux qui ne la connaisse pas, c'est surtout une super brodeuse. Elle donne des cours en ligne et a écrit plusieurs livres mais j'avoue avoir eu un faible pour "Jardin rêvé, jardin brodé", son tout dernier!

Cécile, believe it or not, has been knitting for only a year, but she's very talented. I love her finitions and the little personal touch she ads to everything she does. Cécile, for those of you who don't know her, is most of all an incredible embroiderer. She has fantastic online tutorials (it really doesn't matter if you don't speak French: the videos will just talk to you) and wrote many books. Her  last one is a little jewel (loose translation: The garden I dreamed, the garden I stitched).

Last week, I was really happy to read the nice article Elke wrote in Die Zeit, the biggest German weekly magazine, about the Hiking and knitting tour between Fire and Ice. You can read the article online too, here (there are more pictures on the paper mag).  I hope it will make you want to come for the next  Hiking and knitting tour between Fire and Ice next year!

La semaine passée, j'étais ravie de lire le bel article qu'Elke a écrit sur le tricot-treck entre Feu et glace dans Die Zeit, le plus grand hebdo allemand.  Vous pouvez le lire en ligne ici (mais il n'y a pas autant de photos que sur le mag papier).  J'espère qu'il vous fait envie et que vous serez nombreuses/nombreux à me rejoindre pour un nouveau Tricot-treck entre feu et glace l'année prochaine!
